To our delight, Tom opted to spend the bulk of his day chez nous. To my delight, he & Kent indulged me on going ice skating near our home this afternoon.

I'm giving serious thought to turning my 40th birthday next January into an ice skating party at the public arena. More thoughts on that later.

What a lovely treat! Haven't been ice skating in years, though I'm sure we have one rink here, and they are planning a new double-rink stadium for ice-sports. I am fairly stable going round and round but never learned to stop gracefully. Maybe you can give me some tips!
