Another fun club night

Dayle is off in California so Kent & I called solo for Chesapeake Squares tonight, and I think it was a success.

I used two numbers singers I haven't used in Baltimore before; Kent used one new one and some older materials. The patters went fairly well, particularly my last tip. The final singer had some minor problems but everyone was in a giggly fun mood so no harm done there.

Gotta get some sleep now.

You may have thought you were solo, but the two of you were really "duet."

Seriously, congratulations! You, grasshoppers, have progressed far faster than I. who attended four caller schools and did squat in between or since.

I think of it as "solo" since each of us called a tip with the other sitting one out/grazing at the refreshments table/whatever. We do at least one singer as a duet (usually the closer) though each club night we call.
