Tax return received!

I filed my US tax returns on the morning of Tuesday, February 14. My Maryland state return was deposited in my account last Friday. This morning, my federal return appeared in my checking account, a ten day turn-around. Yay!

The bulk of the return is, alas, already spent: I've paid off my hotel bill for the ACDC weekend and pre-paid the hotel for the Anaheim convention for me, Kent, rlegters and tdjohnsn.

I get to pay this year. I'll wait until April 30th to file.

In the meantime, I'm going back to my payroll department and ask why, as I don't have any other source of taxable but untaxed income to cause this effect.

Yeah, that seems odd... it's not as though there was a sudden jump in the taxation rates.
