A Birthday Of Sorts

68 years ago today, my employer --a large financial institution whose employees are forbidden to name in public-- was signed into existence by FDR.

Rumour has it that cupcakes will be served in the lunch room, probably from an unmarked paper bag. :-^

Later that same day...
The cupcakes were horrible. Stale and cheap frosting. Ew. It would have been better not to have attempted the celebration at all. Then again, perhaps we got the stale cupcakes and the good ones went to one of our other data centers...

Geez, even my nameless cheap multinational financial institution gets us (or more accurately, reimburses us for) real bagels and cream cheese for morning breakfast on weekends (like today).
