RIP Witt Pratt

I learned tonight that Witt Pratt passed away. Click for the Washington Post obituary.

Witt was a fun guy and a blast at dinner parties. We've been out of contact for quite some time but I had been thinking of re-initiating contact to see what he's been up to lately. As the cliche goes, now it's too late.

Brian, that's really sad news, even for someone I didn't know. Very disturbing that he likely died of "sleep apnea" per the obituary. Several of us on LJ as you know have this fairly seriously; I hadn't heard of anyone actually dying of it.

He does sound like a wonderful soul. Do you know his partner, too?

Yeah, I had heard of health impacts from sleep apnea but never a death from it.

I think I only met his partner once or twice and that was a long, long time ago.
