Why does VADOT blow up so many bridges? Five since 1997? I doubt we've had that many bridge detonations in Oregon in, like, ever!

I'm guessing it's both obsolescence and traffic expansion. Some of the bridges which were destroyed seemed aged, while I know the Woodrow Wilson bridge on I95 was destroyed to make way for the new 12 lane bridge.
