Xmas day Washington DC movie outing

Nothing celebrates the birth of our Lord & Saviour^TM quite like a giant ape trashing Manhattan.

A bunch of us are planning to see "King Kong" on Sunday, December 25, 2:45 PM, at the Uptown Theater on Connecticut Avenue NW in Washington, DC. All are welcome to join us.

Ah, the Uptown. I am glad it is still there. During my stint in DC in the 80s, I enjoyed such wide-screen releases as the restored Spartacus (the extra large screen just enhanced the homoeroticism) and Who Framed Roger Rabbit?.

It's been our favourite theater for movies which really demand a big screen and superb sound system: the Star Wars movies, the Jurassic Park movies, the Lord of the Rings trilogy, the South Park Movie... :-)
