Note to Self

Driving overnight from Washington, DC to Cincinnati, OH is probably the stupidest thing I've done in years. At least, since I've moved to DC in the first place.

Boy do I ever hear ya. We used to do the Boston to Lorain round trip twice a year. Grueling.

Yeah, like I needed yet another reminder that I'm not 19 anymore. *sigh*

Oh, come on. You must have done things that were more stupid. I've got faith in you.

Well, I started calling square dances...

Gee, ships that pass in the night and all that; I'm in Cincinnati at the moment. But my return flight to Seattle is this afternoon and I'll probably be spending a good chunk of the intervening time with my folks at the hospital. (More on that in an upcoming post.)

Hope you had a great holiday!

Is the stupid part referring to being in Cincinnati? *giggle* I've never been there -- what do I know... When I moved from Vegas to Bend I drove up by myself in one day. It is 799 miles from door-to-door and took me 14 hours. I had to stop for almost two hours towards the end in an attempt to work out all the kinks from sitting so long. I felt bad for the next two days. That was my reminder that I'm not so young anymore.

Yeah, I crashed hard after we finally arrived in Cincinnati.

Our first mistake was leaving at the end of a week of extended office hours.

Second was making the entire trip in one hop instead of two steps.

Third was realizing we're not 19 anymore. *sigh*
