Ow!

While getting out of bed this morning, I propped myself up with my right arm and apparently leaned too sharply on my hand & wrist. I now have a painful sprain that is making any primate opposable-thumb tool usage very, very painful.

Damn opposable thumbs.

So much for wanking.

He can use the other hand and it'll feel like somebody else for a change.

Mebbe. I can't use my left hand for that a-tall.

When I broke my left elbow, the thing I was most grateful for was that it wasn't my right, otherwise I would have been really hard up.

Though I'm told some people are ambidextrous this way....

I can confirm that indeed, some people are ambidextrous that way. I'm one of them (and typically I'm righthanded except I'm lefthanded for that).

Pshaw; everyone knows sex stops after marriage.

[identity profile] bendoutdoors.livejournal.com 2008-11-16 05:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Clearly you need a new set of friends because we're all thinking the same thing. :-)

[identity profile] paigemom.livejournal.com 2008-11-16 08:39 pm (UTC)(link)
No, actually my first thought was, "You just couldn't take our word for it that that position was impossible?"

[identity profile] kent4str.livejournal.com 2008-11-17 01:33 am (UTC)(link)
Tee-hee! That's what I thought, too!

A bicycle?

[identity profile] bjarvis.livejournal.com 2008-11-17 02:28 am (UTC)(link)
I remember oh-so long ago when this blog was "g" rated... *sigh*

[identity profile] bendoutdoors.livejournal.com 2008-11-17 03:10 am (UTC)(link)
After Cleveland I don't think I'll ever consider you "g" rated (based on my OBSERVATIONS of what went on :-) ).

[identity profile] airporter.livejournal.com 2008-11-17 03:39 am (UTC)(link)
Hang on: you were G-rated once?

[identity profile] trawnapanda.livejournal.com 2008-11-16 05:50 pm (UTC)(link)
but the key question (from yet another friend whose first thought was of self-abuse) is:

was it your jackoff hand that got ysprainen?

salacious enquiring minds need to know

[identity profile] rsc.livejournal.com 2008-11-16 06:17 pm (UTC)(link)
I thought of the selfsame cartoon. And I also thought, well, yeah, opposable thumbs are probably responsible for most of humanity's ills.

[identity profile] trawnapanda.livejournal.com 2008-11-16 07:15 pm (UTC)(link)
does that mean that [livejournal.com profile] bjarvis, at present without opposable thumb, can be The Saviour Of Humanity From All That Ails It?

that should keep him busy and away from the self-abuse

[I understand that pandas have not one but two opposable digits per front paw. so how come humans dominate and pandas just sit around munching bamboo and looking cute? one of life's puzzlements]

Who's happier in general: Humans or pandas?

that's another of life's puzzlements.

I got yer bamboo right here.

[identity profile] trawnapanda.livejournal.com 2008-11-16 08:45 pm (UTC)(link)
I'll be over as soon as I can, to snack on bamboo and, er, use my opposeable thumbs on you
