It's only 1:30 PM?!

This has been one of my most productive days in recent history... how can it only be just after lunch still? I usually need until 10 PM to get this much done.

I've caught up on a tonne o' email owed to various people, restored a bunch of files to a hard drive, sorted a number of other files both digital & paper, updated my laptop with some additional square dance music, started backups of a number of workstations, downloaded a tonne o' files, distributed newsletters for our local civic association, replaced the furnace filter and assisted [livejournal.com profile] kent4str and [livejournal.com profile] cuyahogarvr in cleaning out the house eavestroughs/gutters.

I even found time to put on clothes before doing any of this! I totally rawk! :-)

As I write this, I'm catching up on some podcasts and doing a fresh install of Solaris 10 on one of my spare Linux machines. Before the weekend is out, I'm hoping to play a little with making a Solaris jumpstart server as that appears to be a weak spot in my current résumé. I wish I had sufficient equipment to build a small SAN too but that's out of my budgetary reach currently.

Wonderful! It's been a productive day here as well. Now, I won't be going through all of the crazy clean up I normally do before a Fly In, but I took all of Bob's junk out of the Master Bedroom, cleaned and creamed the wood, and re-washed the towels for my guests. I also rephotographed some stuff for Russ, ran to his house to drop off over $60K in jewelery (yikes!), then stopped at the grocery store for a party tonight. Lastly, I did a rough lay out of a book Russ & I are putting together. I think it's time for a well deserved nap!

I am your complete opposite, and your industry never fails to impress me. Perhaps I need a token that reads "WWBD?" to get me off my ass. You absolutely rule, no lie.

Not while he was crawling around on the roof - Nakkid would not be a good idea.

Fine, fine, nekkid for the outside-the-house bits. But clothing's completely superfluous for email, file restores, sorting e- and paper files, updating laptops, doing backups, downloading, or replacing furnace filters.
