Flexible Spending Account Update

On a friend's recommendation, I went to drugstore.com and discovered they have a subsection of their website devoted to FSA shopping. I've just blown $60 on contact lens solution, ear drops and condoms.

I've also made an appointment with my optometrist for December 5 to obtain a new prescription for contact lenses. I should be able to blow another $100-150 on the consultation, and about that much again on the lenses.

Whatever is left over will used on something --I don't know what yet-- before December 31.

what quaint financial arrangements you americans have for medical needs.

you should have an OHIP card - SO much easier. (he said, poking a stick at a sleeping dog, and fleeing promptly).

before I depart, a question: if you can spend it on condoms, could you spend some on dildos and/or buttplugs? or at least a bleach-bottle sized tub'o'lube? No point in condoms without KY.

Yeah, I'm hard pressed to think of any other system which wastes such vast amounts of money in designing incredible levels of overhead all in the interest of saving money.

Yes, lube is eligible, as well as condoms and viagra, but not additional toys. Apparently, the official mandate is to have sex but not necessarily enjoy it too much.
