The Weekend Begins

[livejournal.com profile] kent4str, [livejournal.com profile] cuyahogarvr and I went to square dance A2 with the Zig Zaggers last night, [livejournal.com profile] justetthon calling. It wsa a fun time: I knew about half of the dancers from DC Lambda Squares. A few people were A2 novices so we crashed & burned a few times --hell, I made a total hash of teacup chain when I had to dance the girl's part for one time-- but we laughed the whole evening.

This morning, we're up at this ungodly hour to head to Frank Lloyd Wright's Falling Water in Pennsylvania, a road trip organized by a friend of ours. One of our carpool stayed chez nous overnight; as soon as [livejournal.com profile] kent4str is out of the shower and another of our troup arrives from Virginia, five of us will hop into [livejournal.com profile] kent4str's big ol' lesbian soccer mom minivan to head northwest. Photos will follow, presuming I'm awake enough to remember how to use the camera.

It's lovely scenery near there. My first date with Mark-the-Ex was a picnic down the road from there.

I am incredibly envious; I've never had the chance to see Fallingwater, and have always wanted to.

We actually got to see two FLW houses: Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob. Photos to follow.

you just can't handle the squealing styling properly. It's your native conservatism and button-down nature.

moi, j'adore teacup chain. my fave call. call me flamboyant.

hash of teacup chain...

It was fun. I do enjoy seeing this group of dancers. And, just so you know, I especially waited until you danced the "girl's" part to throw in a casual "teacup chain" unexpectedly - and got the expected results! (grin, grin). Looked like your teacup broke, hon.

My teacup was smashed into tiny little shards. :-)

When we were squaring up, I was mulling over what I would do if our rolls were swapped and was thinking, Yeah, let's lead with teacup chain for a laugh... :-)
