reason for delay: balance on mortgage (home equity line of credit, actually) was less than regular monthly payment, and had to be processed by hand.

I'm sure it will come as no surprise that I am FAR too anal-retentive to actually intentionally destroy important documentation concerning indebtedness.

but I am having a quiet, tasteful celebration where only comestibles will be destroyed; by teeth rather than by flames.
