Tonight's C1 Dancing
Had fun dancing C1 in Arlington, VA, tonight. ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
kent4str worked late at the office so he missed this session but we had enough dancers for a full square with a few sitting out so all was well.
I shared calling a tip with Doren. I'm constantly amazed how he can sight-call & resolve C1, largely since I'm still struggling to sight-call A2 with minimal proficiency. We alternated figures for most of the tip, then did one figure alternating calls between us. He ended his last figure with a nifty get-out; I knew I had nothing which could rival it so I used my turn on the mic to say, "Bow to your partner, and to your corner too," to end the tip. We both got a good laugh from the floor for finishing gracefully.
I'm delighted to have a growing repertoire of figures in my C1 library but I confess it's a little frustrating that I don't get to test-drive more of them. Ah well... I can use any spare time to re-evaluate & redraft the choreo already composed as well as continue writing more.
Thursday night, I'm calling Plus and Advanced for the DC Lambda Squares. I'm planning to push myself to do more sight-calling of the Advanced but it will all largely depend on my mental agility --if any-- tomorrow night.
