Site-seeing Sunday

[livejournal.com profile] kent4str and I went out for walkies earlier today. He has a presentation on the tourism virtues of Washington DC coming up in May; while we have a large number of great photos in inventory, we wanted to get a few more of the Lincoln Memorial, the National Cathedral, Arlington Cemetary and the relatively new World War II memorial, among other locations.

While snapping photos of monuments and memorials, I took a few extras on other memorable features...

[Poll #953590]

Yeah, it's a suck-up answer, but it's true.

I choose #8 - you and Kent. ;)

#7 IS me!

I had your name in there. OK, I'll restate the answer PROPERLY.

I choose #8 and #7 - you and Kent, respectively.

Better? [evil grin]

Well, I suppose so...

tasty slabs of beef

you know, it's really difficult to tell what's best in beef cuts when they're in opaque wrappings. It's like being presented with them in butcher paper. If you could arrange for the wrappings to be removed (or, I spoze, replaced with saran(tm) wrap), it would make the choice SO much easier. though i spoze #6's spousal equivalent might object.

I'll assume #7 is Kent...so that's who I vote for!

You mean the "entire" slab of beef or the slab showing in the front, of say #7's pants. How can he be so lucky to have it naturally just out there like that?

I recognized [livejournal.com profile] kent4str! You didn't get any pictures of jogging jarheads. There are usually a bunch of them around, too.

Did Mark tell you about the "Kilroy" on the WWII memorial?

[identity profile] bjarvis.livejournal.com 2007-03-26 02:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Jogging jarheads were likely around, but I didn't notice them. Unless they have facial hair and are old enough to remember a time before W was president, they're utterly invisible.

Yup, Mark mentioned the Kilroy reference although we didn't go looking.

Photographic shallowness is much more pleasant than other varieties of shallowness :-)

It's a kind of shallowness one can share. :-)

Somehow I knew what I'd find even before looking at the poll. Of course, I voted for #7, but only because there wasn't one of the both of you.

I'm from Chicago...

I voted twice!
