Morning Commute

The main roads & highways in the DC area were flawless today: clear of snow & slush and perfectly dry. Visibility was great, even if the wind was a little brisk. The streets in my neighbourhood have a little snow but the plows have cleared most of it to the side except where parked cars blocked their access.

Despite the ideal conditions, there were few commuters on the road today. Schools were shut down again in Baltimore and my county (Montgomery), as well as a few other places; some were opening 1 or 2 hours late. This should have been a day of relatively normalcy. Wimps.

I drove housemate to Dulles for a flight to boston this morning, then on to Georgetown...these kids will be going to school til July 4th at this rate!
