Snow!

Finally, it snowed last night. It wasn't much, just an inch or so of fluffy powder but it's better than nothing.

I needed only twenty minutes this morning to broom the fluff off the sidewalk, driveway and walkway, yet it was sufficient to cancel school for the day in nearly every county surrounding DC & Baltimore and delay the school day by two hours in DC itself. Pussies.

An inch of snow and they cancelled/delayed the start of school. Pussies is right. We've only got a couple of inches here, but we've got Arctic temps as a reason to cancel. I think I'd rather have more snow and warmer temps than below zero readings.

I think they cancelled school because they realize they won't have any other chances this winter, have built extra days into the school year, and don't want to hear the kiddies or parents bitching.

But if they really thought the conditions were hazardous, I agree - pussies.
