Our Home Is Clean Again!

As mentioned previously, we've been cleaning our own home since July when our prior cleaning service went out of business. We've been holding our own but it wasn't a pleasant experience.

This afternoon, our new cleaning service came in to give the house a complete baseline cleaning; they will be returning every two weeks to keep the place tidy. Yay!

I don't know what we would do if the guy who cleans our house ever stops. He's been cleaning our house for 20 years!

After walking through a vastly cleaner house last night, I was wondering why I waited six months.

I miss my cleaning lady something dearly.

I had to give up the luxury when I became unemployed in 2005. The new job isn't as lucrative and the cleaning lady was one of things that had be sacrificed in the name of a balanced budget. Someday I'll have her back again.

It was nice having the financial savings the past six months or so when we didn't have a housekeeping service, but we were reaching a point where the need exceeded the pleasure of financial savings. I wish I had a cheaper service to resolve my dilemma but we're paying a fair amount for the work received.
