Winter, at last.

Finally, we have snow. The snow began at a slow but steady pace early this afternoon and it continues as I write this. We have about two inches accumulated so far but little more is expected and I have no illusions about being able to claim being snowed in tomorrow morning --that fantasy waits for another day.

OK, I'm ready for Christmas now.

Please, you can have all the snow you want! (It's snowing here AGAIN right now). I'll send more your way!

For us, this is our first snowfall of the season. I'd gladly take all of yours, and then some. Anything to actually have *four* seasons in a year.

Damn, all we got was this lousy cold rain at 32° all day. Oh, well, no problem getting to the airport tomorrow morning for my trip.

Our eagerly anticipated "Winter Blast" was a dud on the west side of Cleveland. I'm still looking at lots of pavement an dead grass. I've pretty well given up hope of seeing a real winter this year.

be careful what you wish for!

(the parts of trawna that are normally grassy are now white, as are many roofs, though roads and sidewalks are clear at the moment. Temperatures -10 to -5C, fairly normal winter here; though the total snow dump is WAAAY low - maybe 10cm total. That's appropriate to mid-November.)

Now see, our temps should be in that same range, but we've hardly gone below 0C. We don't need a January thaw, it never froze. I actually don't mind the snow and would like to see more of it, especially because I don't have to shovel myself out this year. At this point, even if winter does arrive - blizzards with freezing cold and lots of snow - it will be short lived.
