I Got Mine!

Last Sunday evening, after dropping off [livejournal.com profile] cuyahogarvr at BWI airport, we stopped at a 7-11 in the vicinity of Laurel, MD, for something to drink on the road home. There on the counter sat majestically a display box of Coffee Crisp, just as promised! There is a god!

[livejournal.com profile] kent4str bought me two so I'll have to be grovelling in gratitude for at least a few more days.

BTW, US price is $0.89.

Do they look like the old-school one pictured above? Nestle revised the logo here a few years back...

It is indeed different, although the colour scheme is the same. Here's an actual photo (via my crappy cell phone camera with poor lighting)...

Interesting that the change in logo didn't catch my eye... the Spanish text rather than French did leap out at me though.

My suspicions are confirmed. You are now, will be and forever, a non-American!

"US price?" ?????

Hey, LiveJournal is international! It's only polite to indicate what currency one is quoting! :-)

You could've said "Retail price, USD$0.89" or soemthing.

isn't there something redundant in "USD$0.89", like "HIV virus" or "PIN number"?

Hey, I'd grovel for Kent without him spending a cent on candy bars ...

Two for $1.25 at 7-11s in Baltimore County (Towson, Parkville).

Too far to go for just a chocolate bar, but hopefully convenience stores closer to Silver Spring will see the error of their ways and offer similar prices. :-)

[identity profile] bearfuz.livejournal.com 2006-09-13 03:47 am (UTC)(link)
Which means that if it ever shows up in NYC subway kiosks it'll be at least $1.25. Not that it's likely to. ;-)

It says, "Makes a nice light tasting snack." The Canadian slogan is "Makes a nice light snack" (no "tasting"). That's just silly. "Light tasting"...what is that? It isn't olive oil.

Maybe it's a reference to the "Less great!" / "Tastes filling!" beer commercials.
