Taking a hint from tdjohnsn's recent present of a gift card for Cold Stone Creamery, we stopped in at the franchise in the Crystal City area of Arlington, VA, last night after dinner for dessert.

For the uninitiated, the Chocolate Devotion is composed of very rich chocolate ice cream mixed thoroughly before one's eyes with a medium fudge brownie, a generous helping of semi-sweet chocolate chips and a slathering of chocolate syrup.

I'm amazed I was able to sleep at last night with that much sugar flowing through my veins.

What fun! If I join the cult perhaps we'll ice cream together sometime... or if I join that other cult (galachoruses) - we'll ice cream there too :)

Chocolate ice cream is a staple of life. Mine must co-exist with peanut butter, or raspberries. The best chocolate-based ice-cream I ever had was called Bug-a-boo: chocolate ice cream with a raspberry jam ribbon, real raspberries and a studding of mini-chocolates with raspberry liqueur.
