Sudden Awkwardness

I just realized while I'm feeling very, very strange at the moment: I have nothing to do.

I've caught up on e-mail, finished off reports which were required, updated LJ :-), and a small list of other activities, but my to-do list is now completely blank.

Rather, my to-do list has a long list of tasks still to finish, but every one of those tasks is on hold pending information from other people, me being at the other office, meetings scheduled for later today, etc.. They're all in a wait state, dependent on some outside event or trigger.

This feels really, really wierd. Unnatural, even.

Ick.

I know what you mean. I don't often feel that way, but when I do, it's so unusual.

Right now I am content to eat my tuna sandwhich and carrots.

At least it doesn't smell like fish. :)

So why are cats following me everywhere? :-)

Well aren't you a "cat person?"

Grin.

Yeah, that'll over big with my boss. And legal dept. Then I'd have even more time on my hands.

You can keep an eye on the biggest storms in the Solar System! They're about to collide, and it should be spectacular.

I mean, watching storms whose sizes dwarf that of Earth...how much more meaningful and significant do you want? ;-)

I've been living next door to Ground Zero for ten years. After a while, apocalyptic acts of mind-boggling destruction somehow lose their novelty. It is kinda neat though.

If you get too bored you can start working your way through mine...

Yours requires thoughtfulness and creativity. Mine doesn't even require one to be human. In fact, one's humanity is sometimes an impediment... :-^
