2009 IAGSDC Convention Meeting

Tonight's meeting of the committee running the 2009 IAGSDC convention went fairly well.

1. My 501(c)(3) documentation was well received and the committee has agreed I should forward it now to our legal adviser for review... those particular 1s and 0s were e-mailed off minutes ago.
   
2. My conflict of interest policy was approved and conflict of interest declarations were signed by myself and the other two corporation officers.
   
3. We agreed to grab "dcdc2009.org" and "dcdc2009.com" for our domain name. We already have dcdiamondcirculate.org/com but these are likely too long for most people to use comfortably. We'll keep the longer version anyway, just to ensure no one else grabs them.
   
4. We got our employer identification number (EIN) earlier this week.
   
5. We'll have a post box before this time next week (as secretary, I'll hold the mailbox key).
   
6. I've been appointed registrar. My plan is to hold the title for 2006/7 to set up the systems and work with abqdan to see how we can take advantage of the IAGSDC web site registration system. discord35: I'll be in touch soon too to see what nightmares you encountered in the role for the 2000 convention. apparentparadox: warn your hubby I'll be contacting him too. :-) Once I'm sure we have solid processes in place, I'll delegate the role to a minion volunteer for 2008/9 as I'm sure I'll be busy with other director duties, as well as possible GCA responsibilities.
   

Now I just have to type up the minutes of the meeting, but that's tomorrow's problem. I'm going to bed now.
