We had freezing rain in the greater Washington DC area last night and this morning. While it was a pain to chisel out the vehicles and clean the sidewalks, it did make for some lovely photos...
I've always wanted to go somewhere where they had an ice storm or freezing rain, just to experience it... the caveat is that I want it to be someplace where I don't have to travel, am totally sure of having heat and food, and have it go away when I'm ready to go somewhere. It prolly won't happen LOL

I feel blessed that we don't have ice storms here. Plenty of sub-freezing weather, yes, but so little precip that it hardly matters.
I do remember some pretty awful ice storms in north Louisiana. One storm shut down my college town for 3 days due to power outages.
