Made It to Cleveland
We left home around 11:30 AM so we could be at our gate eary for a 2:40 PM departure. We were feeling a little paranoid about the timeframe: the parking garage at the airport could be full, the circuit buses could be running slow, security lines could be overloaded, etc..
All for nothing.
Parking was easy, the buses were timely and security was a relative breeze.
The big snag though was that the tiny little plane which was supposed to shuttle us to Cleveland was grounded in bloody Newark, NJ. In the end, we were off the ground slightly after 6 PM, more than three hours late.
I should count ourselves lucky since we didn't have a firm deadline to make, no connecting flights to catch, etc.. Still, it feels like our entire day has been shot to hell. We could have driven faster than it took to fly to Cleveland. I was soooo close to cancelling the entire trip at more than one point but we stuck it out and here we are in Cleveland.
