Expanding The Economy

Felt the shockwave of the economy expanding suddenly? That was me.

I mailed off the DC Diamond Circulate newsletters this morning: two to Japan ($0.94 each), seven to Canada ($0.72 each) and 50 around the US ($0.42 each), for a total of $27.92.

After a quick stop at the local grocery store to get a sandwich from the deli counter ($4.23) and getting additional cash back for future ($40), I stopped by the 7-11 to fill up the car ($19.40 @ $1.969/gallon).

I filled the car this morning at a mere $2.19/gallon (for premium). I was looking out the window at the price thinking it had to be $2.79. I remember the first time I paid over $2/gallon (8 years ago) and thought that was outrageous. Now anything in the low $2 range seems cheap.

Yeah, I was thinking that Friday when I drove by a station in Virginia which was charging only $1.959. It's feels like a couple of years since I saw it last under $2.

It's 79.4c/L here in Trawna; which seems remarkable, when just months ago it was $1.36/L, which was more expensive than milk.

(I'm using real units here, but to convert to the quaint stuff you use in DeeSee, that's US$2.34/gal down from US$4.08/gal)

Even I expanded the economy this weekend so that should add to the shockwave. LOL.

You big spender, you!

We're at $1.79/gallon at the moment.

The expensive just-off-the-Interstate gas is at $1.799/gal this morning, which means it's probably $1.699 or better a mile further away from Town.
