End of Xmas For Another Year

And this is how xmas ends, not with a bang but with a pile of proto-mulch at the curb, awaiting collection by the county.

It's all over for another year. Thank god.

My tree got dismantled and put back in it's box to be put up again next year. No need to go hunt for yet another tree, haul it upstairs, trim off the bottom before getting it in the stand. Simple. :-)

I like the additional personal touch of slicing & dicing the arboreal corpse in revenge for the agony of the season. It's therapeutic, honest!

Yeah, right and to think I only paid $18.99 at big lots for the silly tree 3 years ago and yes, it's 6' tall and had it's own stand so there. :-P

I think it's time to consider switching to decaf... :-)

i'm cooking zucchini feta cakes in my kitchen and cruising LJ. I haven't had coffee since 10am - so - I'm afraid we can't blame my WRONGNESS on caffeine.

Our tree was scheduled to suffer a similar fate tomorrow, but we didn't get around to undecorating it today, so I guess it's stuck with us (and us with it) for another week.

*sniff*

Mine is still gloriously decorated in my sun room, and yes, I plug in the lights every night to let the world know that I'm too lazy to take it down until the weekend.
That being said, I better warn you that for some reason, now that I'm "single" I do like the whole decorated tree thing. Don't know why or what the relationship to being single is, but it's kinda cool.
