Galaxy Eights

cuyahogarvr and I are just back from dancing C1 with Billy Harrison's Galaxy Eights group (inc. meinfs!) in Columbia, MD. Alas, kent4str was calling for the Chesapeake Squares ce soir so he couldn't join us but I'm sure he would have enjoyed it too.

Billy took us through a lot of interlocked wave-based/tandem-based triangles. It was fairly hair-raising at first --there is no good circulate pattern for many of these set-ups-- but we were getting it pretty well after a couple of tips. His impromptu review of counter-rotate was a welcome addition too.

No dancing tomorrow night, but I'm calling Plus/Advanced for the DC Lambda Squares on Thursday, right after our DC Diamond Circulate 2009 meeting.
