Busy/Lazy Day

I'm still in low-energy mode but we still managed to get a great deal of work done.

kent4str, cuyahogarvr and I began working yesterday on one wall of the kitchen yesterday. It was the only wall in the kitchen which had wallpaper; kent4str has been plotting for a long time to strip down the wall, touch up where needed and paint the entire thing.

Yesterday's work included stripping the wallpaper, spackling and applying an undercoat. Today, a first coat of paint (dark red) was applied.

Alas, a second coat is needed but we've run out and the shop from which we purchased the paint is closed for inventory until early January. Figures.

In other news, cuyahogarvr's youngest daughter arrived today, staying with us for a few days. kent4str has to work tomorrow but the rest of us will be touristy through the course of the day.
