Clean-Up on Aisle Three...
The wrapping up of the recent DC Diamond Circulate convention continues.
Anyone lose a Kodak EasyShare C530 digital camera or a Lexor 256 MB flash memory stick? Let me know.
At last check, the hotel bill estimates came to $98,635.87 USD; the food & beverage totals alone came to $92,114.73, easily exceeding our $70k contractual minimum. We're now examining the bill in detail to ensure nothing extra has been slipped in and we're double-checking the room block allocations to ensure we're getting the correct number of upgrades & discounts as per our contract.
Our room-block total came to 1,934 room-nights as follows:
The food & beverage service to the IAGSDC delegates' meeting topped $1,831.83 before an additional $1,200 in services charges & sales taxes (currently in dispute). We knew democracy was expensive... now we know how much. :-)
Liked the banquet? Good! It cost $42,540.70 before an additional $14.4k in services charges & sales taxes (currently in dispute).
The brunch came to $21,270.35 before an additional $7,300 in service charges & sales taxes (also currently in dispute).
Hanging banners in the dance halls cost $3,500 but there are no sales taxes on that item.
There are miscellaneous other charges, including photocopying services, parking charges and such. It all adds up. Hopefully, we'll be able to produce a 99% complete detailed profit/loss statement and balance sheet in a month or so.
