Dining Out for Life
Last night, the DC Lambda Squares got a crowd of 23 members together at the Logan Tavern for Dining Out for Life, an annual fundraiser for Food & Friends. 25% of our overall meal tab ($526!) went to supporting meal preparation & delivery to those in need.
I was also happy to take advantage of the group gathering for something of a working dinner: I was able to swap caller contracts, bank statements, registrations & such with Cissie, hand off a raffle prize to Tom to display at the WASCA festival next week and give a check to Dayle for our part of a recent purchase of square dance music. Food and productivity... how can one beat that?
