New York -- TIMES SQUARES HOSTS C1 BOOT CAMP MARCH 10, 2007

Times Squares Square Dance Club of New York will host a C1 Boot Camp on Saturday, March 10, and Sunday, March 11, 2007.

This event, led by Dayle Hodge, will consist of 15 hours of instruction of the C1 roster of calls, held over two days. The pace is extremely fast due to time limitations and there will be no review of lower level calls. All dancers interested in attending must be fully proficient in dancing levels through A2 and have significant previous floor time at the A level. This will be a repeat of Dayle's previous boot camp held in Washington, DC last October. As it was for that weekend, Dayle will approve all participants who wish to take the C1 Boot Camp.

The cost of the event is $100 per person. The boot camp will be held at Public School 3 (PS3), an elementary school in the West Village of Manhattan. The school is located just south of Christopher Street on Hudson Street, near to subway transportation. Many people will be familiar with this venue as the present site for Times Squares classes and Peel The Pumpkin fly-ins in past years.

In preparation for this event, you are strongly advised to study the C1 roster of calls, available for download through the Times Squares website (www.timessquares.org), CallerLab (www.callerlab.org), or on the IAGSDC website (www.iagsdc.org). Again, proficiency at all levels through A2 is required for this event, and if you are uncomfortable or unsure with that level and those calls, this is not a class for you at this time.
