Last night, the US gov't placed a pile o' money into my checking account.

Heading to New York City (Hopefully)!

Although the weather is threatening to be unkind tonight & tomorrow morning, we're packed and still planning to drive up to New York City for a weekend of leisure Friday morning. I'm hoping we can be on the road shortly after 8 AM, arriving in NYC in the early afternoon.

If any LJers are interested in getting together for dinner and/or drinks Friday, Saturday or early Sunday, give a shout! We're planning to meet up with bearfuz at some point, and will be looking for stormecho & hubby for lunch Saturday.

Edit: We just received word that the guy riding up with us will instead take the train tomorrow evening. Since it's now just the three of us driving up, we've decided to go now to avoid the inclement weather. We should be on the road by 11:30 PM!
