A Random Update

cuyahogarvr and I went square dancing with the Zig Zaggers in northern Viginia last night. Doren McBroom was calling and we had a fun time. We were short one couple for two full squares but --lemons/lemonaide-- that left plenty of time to chat with other folks who were sitting out a tip at any given moment.

The next Zig Zaggers' dance is December 21 with kent4str and me calling. From chatting last night, it appears a number of our regulars will be out of town: we may not even have a square. Still, we'll be there for at least the first 30 minutes to see who shows up. If we get a square, great! If not, we'll be back in January.

Our next Wednesday C1 session is December 12 in Arlington; Doren was originally going to call it, but he's stretched very thin these days so kent4str and I will call instead.

Gotta run... we're going to be spending the day helping Cal & Eric decorate their house in Manassas, VA.

Grrr...

I just drove into Kensington to deposit some checks but I can't get near any ATM of my bank because the parking lots --all of them-- are packed with holiday shoppers. I even had to do some non-intuitive driving contortions just to get home again because the intersections are nearly gridlocked with yet more shoppers.

Did I mention lately how much I truly loathe xmas?
