Happy birthday to everyone!

It's a bumper crop today... [livejournal.com profile] otterpop58, [livejournal.com profile] bootedintexas and [livejournal.com profile] low_fat_muffin!

God, if all three in the same location doesn't cause the universe to collapse into a singularity, what will?

2009 Convention Update

For the most part, the 2009 convention planning is still chugging along smoothly.

The DC convention bureau has been an ethnusiastic supporter of our little enterprise. In fact, they offered to circulate our request for proposal to the appropriate companies for our fun badge tour and pre- & post-convention tours.

[livejournal.com profile] kent4str is working on & off on the a/v presentation for next July at the Cleveland convention.

For my part, registration has been rolling along smoothly. [livejournal.com profile] abqdan's IAGSDC web site online registration system is working very well. We're still working on some standardized reports which will help manage the registrants but the standard ones are pretty good.

This week, I wrapped up the project started by [livejournal.com profile] discord35, entering all of the paper registration forms into the online system. With the registration rate going up at midnight, there's been a rush of registrations in the past 48 hours.

Some unofficial statistics:
Registrants: 208
Fun badge tour: 66
Meals: 108 prefer beef, 84 chicken and 14 vegetarian
